DOL reissues the 1962 PORTRAIT classic from vibraphonist DAVE PIKE's second recording as a leader, with bassist HERBIE LEWIS, drummer WALTER PERKINS, and BILL EVANS on piano. The music is fairly spontaneous, consisting of two ballads "BESAME MUCO, "VIERD BLUES", and "WHY NOT" inspired by MILES DAVIS.
